Artist's CommentsI've been to many places I've crossed the globe to and fro And yet I have never witnessed Such eyes of Azure before O eyes the color of azure I live to find you O eyes the color of beryl That are for me far too true O eyes the color of turquoise That is of a cloudy, mountain scene O eyes the color of emerald That is the wave-like forests of green O eyes the color of sapphire That of a mountain lake in the light O eyes the color of cobalt That of a dark and silver moonlight And if such eyes I could find, To them I would dedicate all To them I would carve my desire For them I would walk on fire For them I would mold the world And these eyes have ripped my wings off And these eyes have made me fall From light into the darkness From heaven into hellfire As icy chains consumed my soul And neither dead nor living, I walked the earth to and fro Just waiting to be reborn To forge anew what was torn, To find again eyes of azure, That haunt my dreams forevermore. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Time: 2 days to a week for each portrait (two months in total) Medium: Pen and a single .5 mechanical pencil (as seen in the 1st photograph) Each sized at 12x 18 inches |
