Animated Flash interface for the "Architect page" from the upcoming "Chronoscape" sci-fi novel website. Collaboration with awesome flash ninja who did the animation and sound effects.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ HOW THE INTERFACE WORKS:
Click on the figure to zoom in, and click on the spinning mouth to zoom out
Nice piece of artwork I really like it. Good contrast, good lightning and nice design! But i do think you should push the values more, the distant values are too close to the foreground ones, hence takes away from the depth.
I like the smoke effect, it adds so much to the mood. The colors are cool as well. I think the back legs of the creature could be more fogged out to give it more depth, as well as the mountains in the background, a little brighter. Keep sharing and I hope to see more from you in the future
I thought this whole thing was pretty sweet. I like how the light slowly illuminates everything creating a creepy tension at the start and giving off the the whole 'wanting to see whats in the dark but wishing you didnt' vibe. The music goes really good with it too. I think it would of been better if the three lights on the giant 'robot' flickered a bit then turned on, just cuz they looked like they were already on before the other light came on, and it would give the impression that they both acknowledge one another. Either than that though I thought everything was perfect. I really like the zoom in zoom out feature. The way everything blurs is epic, and I love the spinning teeth and the bits of floating debris in the air. The details are realistic. Really well done.
