Artist's Comments

The cities had kept on growing for hundreds of years, until they had used up the resources of the earth, that had run out faster then most had predicted.
Slow decay and destruction had followed thereafter, a bleak existence, without a ray of hope.
The end had been inevitable from there onward, as implied by the 2nd law of thermodynamics applied to the universe as a system.
One by one all our technologies had failed and eventually life itself dispersed, all wiped away by the erroneous ways of man that had brought hell itself to earth.
We did not need a biblical apocalypse, for we had slowly and meticulously created one ourselves through violence, greed and war.
