The cities had kept on growing for hundreds of years, until they had used up the resources of the earth, that had run out faster then most had predicted.
Slow decay and destruction had followed thereafter, a bleak existence, without a ray of hope. The end had been inevitable from there onward, as implied by the 2nd law of thermodynamics applied to the universe as a system. One by one all our technologies had failed and eventually life itself dispersed, all wiped away by the erroneous ways of man that had brought hell itself to earth. We did not need a biblical apocalypse, for we had slowly and meticulously created one ourselves through violence, greed and war. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Time consumed: around 3 weeks Software used: Painter 9 and Photoshop CS Hardware used: Wacom Intuos 6x8 tablet Real size: 11'000x11'000 pixels (37x37 inches) -------------------------------------------------------------------- Comission done for the Band "Gabriel's Path": [link] -a concept piece about the end of existence Client comments: Wow this is really brilliant. It's a simple question, Doctor: If the moon was made of ribs, would you eat it?! It's not rocket science; answer yes so we can move on.
ah nice, good luck with that!
