i totally agree with you, humanity isn't realizing the consequences this planet will suffer, and no one cares. I'd rather live by my own than live in a world full of stupidity. Of course there's consequences but whatever, i still want to live in a world like that...
I am an extreme survivalist, to tell you the truth, I would love to live on my own path, no government, no one screaming that I have a gun, I am tired of the laziness and leading a "normal" life. I know how to purify my own water, how to hunt and prepare my own food, and can very well defend myself, and believe me, it wouldn't be the first time. The regulations and crap this totalitarian government has laid is making it really hard for me to live independently, they want control of every last person and resource, and call me crazy, but I've seen this happen first hand. We got along just fine without technology, in fact, when we hit the technological age, everything went to crap, so much government dependency, laziness, and most of all, stupid, and I've met way to many people who have said "let the animals live and get your meat from the store", many times I resisted the temptation to hand them a condom and tell them "if you're going to be stupid, don't breed". I have friends who had to deal with the government to remain independent, I've had to do the same. Technology though, everyone looking at their smartphones, and fat kids, fat kids everywhere, it sickens me that this society has become like this, and I found though, that if I just start living a "normal" life, the government tends to lay off my back.
I'm detecting some slight paranoia. Yes, privacy is an issue in our connected world, but there is in no way a totalitarian regime in place. This is proven by the fact that we still have control over our government. Democracy is still in place. Idiocy is not the issue. Ignorance is. Children no longer crave education as they once did. Yes, we can change our country, but the children do not know this because they lack education. Merely sitting around living a "normal" life does nothing to change your society, however.
But I'm not one for debate, so I'll drop off here. You do have an interesting view on life however.
We still have control? Hahaha, you my friend are still blind, I have opened the door to truth to you, you must walk through it. You think we still have control, why don't you try living completely off the grid without the government riding your back. Farmers are being prohibited from farming left and right, people with solar houses are being told they must be on an electrical grid, hell you can't even drink raw milk these days without being arrested. If the government finds out you have solar, collecting rain water, produce your own food, etc. They will ride your back or throw you in prison, almost happened to my family and it sure as hell may happen to you if you tried. They're even passing lots of unnecessary gun control, and everytime a new gun law is passed, crime rate just goes up.
