Really awesome, everything is amazing... BUT, GAH! Look right under the sun, at the corner of the panel, right at the horizon. is it just me or does it look a lil off to the rest of the horizon... what has been seen cannot be unseen ;_;
That is what we can call a nice optical illusion. The solar panels give a false effect of that particular section of the horizon is offset, sitting lower than the rest. If you take the picture into photoshop and use the pen tool to match up the curve, you will notice that everything is ok.
When I looked at this image I thought the satellite was being attacked from the ground...
That is because back in the Reagan "Star Wars" days a couple friends of friends did something you should never do in real life. They tested a piece of hardware on a real life target. The guys thought it would be "fun" to use their laser (built for DARPA) to "ping" a Soviet spy satellite. They really didn't think it would do any damage...
Sooo... One blinded Soviet spy satellite later, the Soviet military returned the favor after informing the Pentagon the coordinates for the laser that attacked their satellite. I never heard what happened to those engineers
I can't say it is a true story... Maybe it is an urban legend... But it *is* what I was told. I was even outside the nondescript windowless grey building where I waited until an electrical engineer emerged to join myself and friends for lunch at the local taco shop.
