The Romantically Apocalyptic series of comics is growing in not only quality, but with popularity with each installment. The ability to make light of a post-apocalyptic world is something quite unique. The characters in this series are well thought out, built and integrated into these comics. The humour and storyline, whilst having continuity, does have a great art of abstracticism to it aswell, which I find intriguing. Onto the artwork of this installment itself. It's brilliantly constructed. The use of colour is well planned and executed. The lighting is perfect, and the detail is phenomenal. The painting itself is something truly wonderful to behold, and in using this painting style with photography to create a great mix of media. I also find it amazing that at how easy Alexiuss finds it to create such expression in faceless characters. The final picture in this comic interests me the most, not only for its powerful use of lighting and colour to create a fantastic atmosphere, but for the nonchalance of the characters to cut straight through this atmosphere and provide with a great end product. I envy this artist. A thumbs up from me, I am eagerly awaiting the 19th of this series.
I honestly can't get enough of this series. I find myself laughing at almost every panel. The humor reminds me of what some people and myself would end up eventually doing if we existed in such a world. I'm truly glad I found this series.
LOL. Dude~"Aliens don't exist" Me ~"Yah well um can you turn around?" -runs like there is no tomorrow (well.....)- Dude~- Look after me running then turns- "oh shit" -looking up at the giant alien ship.
