Silent hallways of the Bio-molecular research center welcomed me with open doors, empty hallways, easy-to-trip-on electrical chords, and barricaded elevators.
There were no students here yet, as the building was still under final steps of construction. Architecture plans tied with strings, keys, construction helmets were lying around abandoned in various unfurnished offices.
Luckily avoiding a few security guards and construction workers, I’ve ascended into the empty, dark laboratories that greeted me with their sterile atmosphere.
Most of the chairs were still packed in crunchy, transparent paper bags, with number tags.
I wondered what mysterious and deadly experiments would the future scientists conduct here
....what sort of viruses, chemical compounds and machines would their actions unleash upon the world?

This reminds me of an Orson Wells movie I saw once called "The Trial." There was a scene in an endless office that had the same kind of cold, monotonous industrial atmosphere. Nicely done!

I find this a bit peaceful, actually. (This coming from a person who is often bothered by the noise in the café of her college but hides it.) But it's metallic... I can't explain it. But science is the last thing that comes to mind.

I like it. It looks so peaceful, like a place I'd like to relax in.
