The voice of the forest whispered into my ears, as the trees shifted left and right their branches rubbed together and collided in barely visible motion.
I could see where I was going, I knew what I wanted but I was inevitably stalling.
I was afraid that another step will get me even more hopelessly lost in the coming darkness.
Where would I go? Which choice is right? Where will this path lead me? Is this a path at all? Where am I? Where are you?...

I was afraid to be forgotten, to be forever consumed, extinguished by the silver fog that slowly drew its grasp around me.
