Brings back memories of many thunderstorms witnessed from this point of view, hitting that building... most likely since it's the tallest building in the area and with plentiful lightning conductors. My grandmother told me a tale that her grandmother told her, of a time when where wasn't as much metal on the ground of the earth and during thunder storms, lightnings shot from one cloud to another, not into buildings.

How to capture lightning with a camera:

a) Wait for a lightning storm
b) point camera at random view of clouds, where you predict lightning might strike
c)Click to photograph and leave aperture open for over 30 seconds on BULB mode.
d)After lightning strikes, click again to close the aperture.

Note: this clearly won't work with cameras that have no BULB mode.
