I'm le tired of hiding 100+ comments a day and blocking bots,
Disabling comments on major old deviations which I can't constantly keep checking for spam (especially now that it's convention season: [link] for Captain and team)
...possibly no comment field forever on old works or at least until DA gets its spam problems under control by making account registration super difficult for bots to register or somesuch.

It would also be nice once a spam is hidden, it would actually BE hidden/invisible, not float forever under the deviation as "COMMENT HIDDEN" box that takes up actual space.
What's the point of leaving a wall of "COMMENT HIDDEN" "COMMENT HIDDEN" "COMMENT HIDDEN" visible in the comments section at all?
It's not like someday in the future I'll be like "Oh, lets look at spam from 2005 and unhide a few of these".

Just got another reply from [link] (the ebay store that is selling works by simply taking random artworks from the internet including mine).

Here's what he wrote:

I am the owner of this shop and all these images are bought or made by me and I take full responsibility for all of them.
Your image is on PUBLIC DOMAIN, you should know that and do something about it.



Made by you? Public domain? What? Since when?

Feel free to go through his ebay store gallery and see how many other artists you can find that are apparently "public domain" and "made by him".

Art salesperson, Why u no respect original artists?

Image sharing sites like imgur and reddit make it super easy to spread art without ever crediting the original.

Even the deviantart DMCA takedown notice is ridiculously long now.
Deviantart, why the fuck are you making it so difficult for me to report stolen art? Is it really necessary for me to fill a freaking application with my place of residence, and click on like 20 things for the report to happen just to take down ONE artwork? Whatever happened to clicking "my artwork stolen" and just entering a link to the original art?

The boobery is overflowing.
It takes an art thief 4 clicks to get a stolen artwork uploaded onto you, but to take something down for me takes ten times as long?

Hello minions,
A lot is happening these days sorry for the lack of updates. Last year in August as many of you know we did an indie go go campaign to raise money for our comic [link]. We are currently trying our hardest to get everything sent out and I can tell you all zee packages are now packed and ready to be sent I am just going through all of the hundreds of delicious addresses making sure everything is in proper order and whoever has changed their address will hopefully receive the package in the right place!

This is a lot of work especially because we currently have a small team, but eventually we are hoping to branch out and such. We are doing another mini-world tour and the next stop on our list is the Calgary Expo! We love Calgary and we would love minions to help us at our booths!! Please note me if you are going to the show and are interested in cosplaying or anything, we have many delicious tasks.

Once indie go go is done we will have a new Studio here in Toronto! We are moving from the current one due to issues such as not being able to use any of the electrical outlets. They keep going out and haven't been fixed in weeks, it gets really annoying to have to use the extension cord out into the hall and I believe soon those units will go out too!! They just can't handle zee power of zee captain!
