Mood: the silver shade of gray

...and now I see with eyes unclouded
...and there is nothing I can do, to change what has occured.
And there's nothing I can do to help her or to help myself.
I thought that happiness could only be attained together.
How very wrong was I?
And this is my goodbye…

Sometimes there's no action
Sometimes there's no cause
Sometimes there's no distinction
Between the why and because.
Sometimes the way is clear
Sometimes the path is lost
Sometimes the world is full of cheer
Sometimes too great is the cost
~
There once was a guy, that was lost.
Along the darkness and light he walked
Without purpose
Without cause
Without knowing what love is like,
Along came a girl and showed him the way.
And he fell in love, he gave her his world.
But she had to work for her family, aye.
But she had to support those she loved,
So she let him go
Yes she let him go
And he was broken inside, alas!
What else could one expect from such an action, thus?
Because he failed to understand
Because he failed and made out to pretend
That everything was
That everything is
That everything could be fixed and solved
That all could be aligned to perfection
But sometimes we just can't help ourselves,
But sometimes we just refuse to accept
When others help us,
To love and be happy
And to understand
The why and because,
The reason and cause
The action/reaction
That brings down the toll
We chose to forget all that we know
We chose to disband all that has passed
To burn all the bridges behind
To run away from it all
Just merely to exist
Just merely to dance
Between the horizons
Of darkness and light
Between the illusion and realities of life
Sometimes there's no choice
Sometimes there's no light
Sometimes there's no action
Upon which to decide
That one can see
Because the world has made one blind
Sometimes our fortunes turn
And one can walk in light
And just see the darkness
In an infernal plight
Sometimes the world is clear
And one walks in the dark
But all that one sees,
Are the stars everbright.
O' what am I to do?
What future awaits me?
Who am I destined to become?

Heckin errors
I seem to be experiencing an absurd amount of errors on DA today.
Not sure if my firefox browser is responsible, but the upload button no longer works and I have to go through stash to submit anything.
Also, "browse popular 8 hours" page is no longer showing things for 8 hours, but instead "popular of all time".
Is there an explanation for this madness?
A billion Soviet Shmeckles/an improbable reference
People sometimes ask if my art was inspired by __________ , but often the answer is that it wasn't, because I've never seen/read ________ (due to me being far more immersed in Soviet novels than American pop culture).
Today I came across yet another fantastic improbability, an obscure/extremely rare Soviet Poster that seems to be exactly like the character "Stealy" out of Rick and Morty.
He's even called "Hapuga", which translates to "Stealy".
Evaluate it for yourself and see how many similarities you can find:
This is a perfect example of people having similar ideas spanning across completely different cultures/time.

Shades of grey wherever I go
The more I find out the less that I know
There ain't no rainbows shining on me
Shades of grey are the colors I see
