As I have been made aware by at least 300-ish notes, Chad Love Lieberman has illegally taken many artworks from deviantart including mine, trying to sell them for thousands of dollars on their art4love.com and MarkYourSpot.com websites.
(both urls' have been currently brought down for copyright infringement)

deviantART's response regarding Art4Love.comIt recently came to our attention that a website called Art4Love.com was offering prints for sale, some based off of deviations also found on deviantART.com (and perhaps other works by artists not on deviantART).  Art4Love.com is currently offline, but was up long enough to make some artists very understandably upset, as neither the artists (we are told) nor deviantART ever gave permission for Art4Love.com to sell these prints.  
We've been tracking the exchanges of comments and journals about all possible infringing activity and are ready to provide information from our side that would help legal action that any of the affected artists decide to bring.  We will also fully cooperate with any government agency that may become involved because of consumer complaints against this apparently infringing website and the people running it. We would also happily cooperate with any possible fraud investigations.

It's always pretty unfortunate when we find a talented young artist here on dA when they are just too young to hold an account with us. Today I would like to talk about what to do when you stumble across a deviant that is under the age of 13 years old.
So what do we consider to be "underage" and what does dA do about it?
dA complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, meaning we prohibit any child under the age of 13 from opening and using a dA account. Even with parental permissions this restriction must stay in place.
When an underage kiddo is brought to our attention their account will be closed automatically. COPPA closed accounts are kept as they are until their owner reaches our minimum required age. Upon verification of their age their account can be restored to active status and all its contents will still be there.

The allure of Anthro Art is obvious to anyone who ever “owned” and loved a pet.  (Only those who have never loved and shared lives with a pet speak of pet “ownership”!)  Once a bond has been formed between a human and an animal the rigid distinctions between what is human and what is animal begin to fracture.
The definition of “being” becomes suddenly far more expansive.  And soon the bonded human begins feeling spiritual affinities with the “animal” that are undeniably powerful and as “real” as any felt with other humans.  The desire to leave all the lies and hypocrisies of human society behind and join in with a simpler and somehow more “honest” society of different beings in nature can become palpable and intense.  “The grass is always greener…” and, oh!, to scamper across it on four liberating paws!

How the mature content filter works
All members over the age of 18 can choose to enable or disable the mature content filter to suit their needs. I'm so horribleI can talk about my character ideas and story ideas {well, kind of} online to thousands of unknown people, but when it comes to talking about them from my very own mouth in real life I just can't do it without worrying if the listener thinks it's weird or stupid. :| I just had a situation like that a few minutes ago with a teacher on the phone, she wanted me to tell about stories I've written lately, and when I {failed} at doing that, she decided to have me webmail her my stories and she'll webmail me the poetry she's written.
