Our appeals were heard and normality has been restored.
DA HQ reports: [link]
Those who went mad from panic, left DA, or threatened to chew on electrical wires because of it, I slap you.
Those who believe that Da is going downhill, I slap you.
DA is getting better everyday and as we can see by this case admins DO listen to us, and DO consider our input, and if there's an error that suddenly occurs- they can fix it pretty fast.
Having talked to DA's CEO
The case of image resizing has proved that if we as a community are unhappy with a feature- we can always get things going in our direction.
Change doesn't have to be scary, change can be good to make this site grow and the more this site grows steadily, the more art, knowledge, education, appreciation, critiques and income we can make and receive as artists.
In this wonderful community, we HAVE the power to steer improvements in the right direction to make this site more helpful, more artistic and more fun!
No matter what anyone says, DA IS the biggest art site on the Internet!
No matter how hard people can claim that this site consistent entirely of inexperienced artists, it is also full of professionals- deviantart has FAR more professional artists on it than any other website, they're just harder to notice sometimes, because there are so many members on here.
Spend enough time advertising yourself on deviantart and you too can find partners, friends, or well paying clients in any field of art you wish to pursue- all you need is imagination and dedication.
Sure, sometimes it can get pretty dramatic around here, but in general Deviantart is love.
On no other site out there can an artist receive as much appreciation and encouragement as on here!

I do think that sometimes we push the site's creators a bit too hard, though. I mean, I know we want things to be different sometimes, but the creators are people too and I think they deserve a bit more recognition than we give them credit for.
Also proof that site admins are human, and make mistakes.
I dunno. And I don't care. I'm gonna comment again. XD
UBER AGREE!! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who still has much love for dA despite the changes it always goes through, which are inevitable anyway.
