PARIS MAYHEM

Journal Entry: Thu Jun 28, 2012, 4:16 PM
So me and my lovely new wife :iconmeeshkamodel: are in Paris it's great here, but there is so much to see its completely overwhelming.
We rented a great loft with a projector, so we can watch movies but we are far too tired every night!!

Have you been to Paris?? If so what did you like the best, so far we went up the Eiffel Tower, went to the louvre, saw the musee d'orsay (another phenomenal museum) and went to montparnasse up this amazingly tall building and saw a great view of Paris.

I think the craziest thing is just how much famous and amazing artwork is here these people have painted murals that are just enormous and the detail is phenomenal. It's really crazy to think how long these pieces must have taken and that the kind of mastery of these classic artists doesn't really exist the same way anymore of course there are phenomenal artists now but this is something so different its a view every artist should see, a city every artist needs to visit.

Meesh and I did some romantic stuff too since this is our honeymoon, it's been two weeks since we got married! We went to a bridge today and to our amazement it was covered completely in locks, quickly we noted these locks were hung by couples, just thousands and we think the oldest one is sometime probably last year it seems the locks rust and fall off after time, we saw some dated from 2011 and they were completely rusted over. So naturally we found someone selling locks there and put one up ourselves, next year we think we will try to come back and see if its still there.

Speaking of coming back, soon is the JAPAN EXPO here in Paris everyone near by should definitely come its going to be amazing! [link] come get signed by captain !!! and get a mug if you want too :D, also since cakes arent really so much available here (well they are but they dont seem overly french) if you want bring Captain gifts of croissants and cakes if you so wish we want to make a photograph of all the interesting things people bring at MCM we had amazing stuff just phenomenal and we thank you all for the deliciousness!!

Lastly, before I go pass out because its super late here, WE HAVE REACHED OVER 200 PERCENT on our campaign and hit the front page of indiegogo.com thank you all so very much for this help :iconcaptainfanclub: is beyond pleased and we will be using these funds for good just wait and see what is coming up and even mre if you continue to help we are so so excited for this :

Again minions thank you so so much for being fans and supporting and we hope to meet many of our lovely French speaking fans here in Lovely Paris very soon.

PS: if my writing seems off its because :iconmeeshkamodel: is writing most of this as I am dead tired!!!

We Just got back from Paris, and I have to say, my favorite part was the food XD But activity wise, I would say Arc de Triumph was the best!

I've been to Paris and my conclusion is that one really needs multiple vacations to do everything in Paris. Actually, I'm not sure it's even physically possible to do everything in Paris, there's just so much.

I second the catacombs and the Luxembourg gardens, also Notre Dame is so, so worth it :D

lol, i was just there about a week ago on a concert-band related tour of Europe. so THAT'S what the locks on the bridge were for! Dangit we had meant to ask a tour guide about that while we were there.

honestly Paris scared me though....especially the "outskirts" of the city.
did you count 40 pharmacies within a 3 mile radius as well?

If you want to go to a very good cocktail bar(with pretty much choice), you should go to "le crocodile", in the Impasse Royer Collard. In the neighborhood (known as the "quartier latin"), you should take a small tour around all the schools over there, these are all the historical ones from France ("La Sorbonne", very renowned university from France, "Les Mines" and "L'Ecole Normale Supérieure", two engineer schools, for example, with a typically french architecture, created during the period of the French Revolution). There is also the Luxembourg garden there, with many good photographs to take :) (if the weather is good, children tend to play with guided boats in the water). The Pantheon is also a very nice building that's not too far away :)
I'm coming to Paris next week end, to go to the Japan Expo on sunday, and have planned to enjoy the city of Paris on Saturday. I'm not the one who knows best the city of lights over there, but don't hesitate if you have any questions :)

I can't wait to see you at Japan Expo! Just a question, though... where will you be? I can't find you on the list of exposants, and in there it's really hard to find a special stand if you have no idea where it is...

I was in paris about 5 years ago. Some of my favorite things i did was the water taxi around the city at night on the seine, notre dame, and napoleon's tomb. I cant say from experience, but I have it on good authority that its worth checking out the catacombs, versailles, and the arc de triumph. Have a wonderful time!

I regularly go to Paris since I live 30 minutes far from there, but I don't know much about tourism. Though you should really go to Montmartre — it's super crowded but really worth it.
I heard great things about the Luxembourg gardens too. (careful though, if you wanna go there by RER, I must warn you: the B line is always super crowded and it's a real pain to travel with. Especially between Châtelet—Saint-Michel—Luxembourg—Port-Royal.)

That's great to hear you have a lovely time in Paris! I can't wait to meet you at Japan Expo! will you be there all 4 days?

(... also do you speak a bit French by any chance? I'm not bad at English but quickly get confused when I speak it. And then I turn red and want to hide myself because no one understands.) :>

One thing you GOTTA do in Paris is go visit the Catacombs. The line's usually very long but it's totally worth the wait.
Whenever I go to Paris, I go to the Catacombs.
