Alexiuss frequently uses vivid colors in his "dreaministic" paintings. But for whatever reason, with "Prisoners of Subtle Imperfections", he's chosen a greyscale approach.

This shows a willingness to try a new approach on his typical post-apocalyptic romantic art. The end result is wonderful.

I'm one who considers greyscale to be (in some ways) superior to colored images, because a more deliberate tone can be conveyed.

You've gotta admire all the fine details, even in the furthest depths of the background. Clearly, Vitaly devotes hours and hours to making every little piece of debris stand out just as much as his focal point.
